  1. Better than the first one....still not worth any premium.
  2. That was from the Pontiac spokesperson
  3. Uh my Cobalt interior looks quite a bit nicer than that picture.
  4. jeez...its not like you have to buy the vehicle at that price. I'm sure there are several other ford dealerships in Miami
  5. Nissan said in the beginning that they were going to try and undercut everyone in price with the Titan.
  6. I think you can get the Mustang V8 for like 25K or something....but that has much higher sales due to the Librarian V6 model.
  7. Seems to work for the Camry...not that I agree with the notion
  8. Things are completely different in Europe.
  9. I don't think so. The hybrid is rated at 192 hp...looks like thats what they are saying.
  10. Sorry but anyone that picks a hybrid as "Best Overall Value" is an idiot.

About the only thing useful in magazines are the objective performance tests.
  12. It's not very attractive and the interior design looks like an afterthought.
  13. If you don't want the big V-6 in the Camry, you are stuck with the anemic 4 cyl. At least with GM, the base engine doesn't suck.
  14. Yet you haven't even driven this yet you automatically assume it's better?
  15. Definitely...Toyota certainly knows how to get positive PR. Luckily for them, most of the consumers either don't care or are too ignorant to realize that hybrids are incredibly overhyped and that Toyota is no less "green" that any other manufacturer.
  16. Whats the added cost of the extra materials in a hybrid powertrain? Whats the environmental impact of the electric components? Can the battery be recycled...and if so what is the monetary and energy costs to accomplish this? For a consumer, there is no added benefit to a hybrid car. Maybe the "feel good" feeling of the slightly reduced emissions. From a money standpoint..you fully pay for the miniscule gas savings and then a significant amount more up front. The small amount of energy you might save from less gas is probably zeroed out by the increase in energy to create and maintain the hybrid system.

My mom's auto Vibe gets about 30 on the highway. My auto Cobalt gets about 36 on the highway. I don't know the city mileage but she averages about 26. I average about 30.
  18. This is an old practice that is done in most business. "Reverse engineering" is what its called if I remember correctly. Hybrids are still a stopgap...not the long term solution. If the long term solution is fuel cells or something else I do not know. I still think people who buy hybrids thinking they are going to save money on fuel are idiots.
  19. They are japanese...what do you expect?
  20. Ok...all this talk about GM fleet sales...but 10K Sentras...gotta be alot of fleet there.
  21. Snate replied to regfootball's topic in Nissan
sorry reg...its still an ugly duckling of a car....couldn't be worse than the civic or corolla though.
  22. I'm not sure if its the same with the AMG models...but you still have to pay extra for alot of things with the SL500. Everything is standard on the XLR...somewhat like the GTO.
  23. Right...does any rational person think he really wants oil consumption to go down?
  24. The 4 cyl is weak too and it requires premium fuel.
  25. Snate replied to regfootball's topic in Toyota
I wonder what the environmentalists think about Toyota adding yet another SUV to their lineup.
