I feel that the rear of the Malibu is its weakest aspect. It's far too flat.

I love the new front end. I love those wheels. I don't like the updated interior. That random trim strip on the passenger side of the dash and its placement is unappealing, and those droopy tail lights are unpleasant. The midsection makes this look stodgy and old though. Like a previous generation Mondeo.

God in Heaven, I do say they've ruined the Mazda3. It was the best looking (Astra aside) small car and had a fantastic looking and solid interior, and then it was butchered into this. I agree in that the Peugeot looks better too.

I really abhor that front end. Interior I feel looked better before than it does now. To each their own. The midsections of these cars are the biggest, stodgiest disappointments to me.

Perhaps if the general dash curvature in the midsection seemed a bit more convex? That's the only area I could think of, but I still do love it. Mmm- in black!

Well, I feel that the interior is fantastic, but the exterior looks rather Korean to me; and not in a good way. It's just me. I don't like the blobby, bubbly exterior at all.

Oooh! I really like it! Now, they only need to change the name to something more appealing. Oh, say, INVICTA? I'll have to see how the Regal is going to be. If I can get THAT with a manual, I will have a new Buick!

I really do question Edmunds' accuracy. I think they may have also messed up on the trim levels for the Genesis coupe. They are also saying that the ECOTEC in the Astra has a cast iron block, but the ECOTEC's are all all-aluminum engines, are they not?

It's sad the Astra didn't exceed as it should have. No other small car comes close to delivering the quality experience it does. Even VW's Golf doesn't feel as rich or solid. I must say, since they aren't rocketing off with German Opel product and Buick is most likely to be aligned with Opel now, either Saturn must die or be an outlet for GMDAT.

Hopefully Chrysler will have some world class cars to put their world class powertrains into.

Aside from the mild facelift of the GS which I feel has uncomfortably melded the inner lamps and sculpturing of the painted surface, I really do consider the Lexus GS to be more attractive than this new E or the current E. Mercedes-Benzes of the 1990's are my favourite stylistically. They seem very formal and classy without all the dreadful flash and overdone surface detailing born of Bangle's bastard BMW's.

Gotta go with Invicta. Sounds powerful, bold, daring, and different.

It seems to me as well. Even if only in China, Buick does seem set to expand and here in the states as well, especially with two new products and others ( ? ) on the way.

I have always loved the 1990's W-body coupes like the Grand Prix, Cutlass Supreme, and to a slightly lesser extent, the Lumina whose Z34 was my pick. Your Lumina does look very nice!

Interestingly enough, I as a "young one" feel that it is completely acceptable for larger cars to ride more comfortably than smaller ones, as in going from the firmest to the "softest" but not neccesarily the floatiest. This is much the same as my like of a manual transmission; once one gets above Malibu/Insignia/Passat size, automatic only is the best/most rational way to go. For the Lucerne, a 3.6 and 6-speed automatic would definitely help the car. Include a redesigned interior to make it match up better with the Enclave and other upcoming Buicks, have Xenon headlamps, LED tails, ambient interior lighting, and the like and the Lucerne would remain/become class leading (especially considering how gross looking the Toyota Avalon is).

One of those things that makes me wonder, "what happened?".

I personally can't wait for the new sub CTS rear drive Cadillac. That will be the one I'm most interested in!

Indeed. I'ved noticed that in my VW's ten speaker system, the bass is the most, I guess you could describe it as being uncomfortable with itself. It's the worst aspect of the speaker system in use. The highs are clear and vibrant though. Depending on settings (and I like to change them depending on the song!) it can be almost harsh. I have also discovered that the sounds of music are more "layed out before me" as in it sounds as though some instruments are coming from in front of you through the window (and no, it does NOT have dash top speakers) and seems incredible to have it seem like the music came from so many places differently. The midlevel is also wonderful. For powerful femal vocal artists (Celine Dion, Laura Branigan, or Whitney Houston etc) sound incredible, full and clear. And yet, Rock music is a total go as well. I was listening to Godsmack on my way about this evening. Just alter the settings a little bit for each music type. I love it.
