Motortrend Sports Compact Comparison
I must say I agree, but then again, I must to certain extent since I drive the plebian 5-pot Golf V myself, albeit in 3-door form. From some angles, yes, the Golf is a bit awkward looking, but most of these compacts aren't pleasing from all viewpoints and the Subaru and Dodge are downright gawky/ugly. The Cobalt coupe is of course sharper than the sedan, and that is how it should be. Although I find the sedan to be rather blanderiffic, it looks rather respectable in SS trim with the different fascias and aluminium wheels. It was such a nice feeling in having my respect for the Cobalt refreshed as when it first came out and compared to the Cavalier. However, in my experience, the Recaro buckets in the old SS Supercharged and the buckets in the new SS Turbocharged were the only chairs in the Cobalt worth a damn. Comfortable yet firm and properly supporting. The standard cars' chairs are quite dreadful and unsupportive for myself no matter what sort of lever and knob twiddling one could do and I am only around 5' 10" and 133 pounds. That said, the Cobalt, with new interior or even just better materials and seats in the plebian models coupled with new headlamps, taillamps, front and rear fascias would do wonders. The basic car itself is exceptionally nice because of the stiff chassis, bountiful sound deadening measures, and firm but well damped suspension. Unfortunately, it was largely the interior, and more specifically the seats that led me to choose the Golf over the Cobalt. Of course, I was enamoured with the gorgeous and premium feeling Astra but in typical plodding GM manner, it was late to market versus what had been announced by at least three months, and thus, I had to default to the Golf. (It was Golf or no car at this point actually since a number of factors including myself had led to the death of my trusty Plymouth Breeze.)

Montreal Autoshow: Acura CSX
You know, as much as I hate that grille overall, it actually doesn't look as bad on this Civic rebadge as it does ALL of Acura's other "models".

Next-gen Buick small sedan could be built by Opel
And what a shame since GM's best front wheel drive cars are Opels.

December 2008 Sales: Chrysler LLC
Of course. Myself as well. The 2003 fascia was rather ugly, almost "cross-eyed Caravan" in a way but the SRT model did look quite sharp. If I got one though, I think I'd get the wing clipped off the trunk, take off the SRT badges, and say, it's just your friendly neighbourhood Neon!

A Big Asstra Inventory
For my two cents, if GM had brought the Astra sedan over as well as better and wider engine spread and options choices, it would have done better. The Astra is one of the best if not THE best looking car in the segment. Plus, having driven it, it is also the best driving, most expensive feeling small car available in the U.S. and I am not counting the A3 with it.

ooh! Looks like a winner! I can't wait to see more!

December 2008 Sales: Chrysler LLC
I've driven and ridden in both Neon generations. The older ones were more fun and unpretentious, the newer ones more refined, grown up, and eventually, ugly.

Emissions Standards control given to states?
This is the most ridiculous and dumb assed idea almost ever.

Fiat Acquires 1/3 of Chrysler
Hmm. While I like the idea of Chrysler getting help, and possibly seeing new FIAT's here like the Bravo and Panda, if they were badged as Chryslers, what would they be branded? Well, The Plymouth Panda has a certain catchiness to it, but that can't happen. Dodge Bravo? Chrysler Bravo? Plymouth Bravo? Hmm.

Fiat Acquires 1/3 of Chrysler
I hear that that nose will be on the 149 as well.

Fiat Acquires 1/3 of Chrysler
Whoopee! Lol. I would really want to see here in the States and ASAP without the bulbous 8-C "inspired" front end. In its current guise, the 159 is one of the most attractive sedans, and with the Brera, coupes in the world!

2010 Ford Fusion
On the old versions it had better placement and continuity.

Lexus Recalls 214,000 Vehicles
Teehee. You aren't all that Toyota! So it seems that even time, perception, vast improvements, leather, chrome, hand buffed paints, and all the modern technologies of the world can't hide the Toyopet at heart.

Fiat Acquires 1/3 of Chrysler
I hope this is good.

Chrysler: The Town Bike?
Please. Of all "brands" that need to go, Pontiac, HUMMER, Saturn, and SAAB are far more irrelevant these days than Chrysler Corporation. I just hope that since Chrysler is small enough, they can't force Chrysler into any sort of "put clause" or whatever it was that screwed over GM!

Detroit 2009: 2010 Toyota Camry
MyerShift replied to Intrepidation's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)My favourite greens of the 1990's were Chrysler's Emerald Green, Forest Green, and Medium Fern.

Detroit 2009: 2010 Toyota Camry
MyerShift replied to Intrepidation's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Well, even if it is, it'll have to be better than the colour demonstrated in some photos for me to like the colour, and even then, I'd still hate the car.

GM snuffs Holden's global RWD dream
And herein lies the greatest hypocrisy of all. Surely profitability alone isn't the reason the trucks are hailed as more important because premium automobiles command a premium price and profit and do so for efficiently.

Isn't that bank one of the larger shareholders of Daimler-Benz (Daimler AG?) Makes me suspicious...

Lexus HS250h - World's Dedicated Hybrid
I'm sorry, but nothing about this vehicle says anything remotely close to "I AM luxury". Nothing.
