  1. Nice! The Deltas are very nice cars, having ridden and driven in them. Unfortunately, I don't fit well in them due to the seats/steering column, but I guess that's why I got my VW!

Well... since it's not an ES, SXT, or R/T, it has the lamentable 2.7L DOHC V6.

Unfortunately, I only have one trip computer and have to reset it myself. I have noticed that the main dash pad is very soft in the GTI compared to the basic Golf (Rabbit) that I have. The one in my car is soft and sturdy mind you, but the GTI's just feels so much softer, the difference between the two is incredible.

Oh, she loves the car. She wants a VW now because of it. She wants the "new" (current) Pasat, but finds the previous gen to be attravtive as well. Heather currently drives a white 2001 Dodge Intrepid! She is allowed to drive it, but has only done so twice, and only once on her own. I had to teach her how to drive stick. Her first time, she only stalled it once!

Well, I wouldn't rule more Chryslers out in the future, they just have to be a little more attractive and way more competetive in all segments now. Before, Chryslers products were attractive and very competetive despite shortcomings, but most newer efforts (300 aside) have in my view, tanked; regardless of sales. I hear the Caliber is a good seller, but the Caliber is waaay too much for the family hatch segment it is techcically a part of and not attractive to boot. I like the PT, the 300 (even though it is boxy but not in a bad way), the Crossfire, and Pacifica. The other new products are ones that I have just found to be unpleasant to look at and sit in. The Journey is nicely styled and the one that I sat in had decent interior materials but I don't want that type of vehicle. I do want a manual transmission and a relatively frugal engine. Gas prices are like, 3.84/gallon here in Southern Michigan.

Okay then, how do I work with that "dynamic pages in the tags not allowed"?

Is that how I do it? Alrighty, just a moment or a day. Hehe. And, I don't do compromising. I am a young man of relative taste, hehe.
  10. There ya go! You know, I have noticed that some people here are complaining about American cars that are imported here from other countries because "we need to keep the profits in the U.S." or something like that AND I have noticed that others complain of foreign cars being assembled in the U.S. because "they aren't really American cars and the profits go over seas". Uh-oh! You know what that means and what I have pointed out? It doesn't matter where the American cars are made, just so long as they are American and profitable for U.S. companies.

Hey everyone! Got a new car, a 2008 Volkswagen Golf (Rabbit VWoA) and a "new" girlfriend Heather! (of like, five months so far). Plus, I'm computer illiterate if one will, and I am trying to figure out how to put one of my pics on my computer onto the signature area of posts, but I'm sure one of my friends can help me with that. Once I'm taught, I can do something well.

I think it's beautiful. I liked the Lucerne and thought it the initial shift for Buick with tight tolerances, and relatively contemporary style but this is finally what Buick needs. Next up- Rear Wheel Drive!
  14. Disgusting. P-E-R-I-O-D

Eww. The styling of this and all other recent Acuras is unpleasant and, in hand, unattractive. The last TSX/Euro Accord and current TL had the best styling. Sharp, handsome, with an upscale but unpretentious appearance. The new ones look like someone said, No no no, attractiveness won't do. Let's do what Chrysler has. Make it as gaudy as possible!
  16. Smartest thing I've heard in a long time. A cupholder for each person although technically makes sense, isn't really purposeful as the car is generally used for one person: the driver. More often than not, people drive alone. I'm not counting families for which the parents need to find a "new hobby" obviously.

Astra Quad Coupe? No sorry, bad idea. (Economics of the project, safety, structural integrity, lack of demand) An Astra 3-door, 5-door, wagon, TwinTop, AND sedan are quite enough and such a car would add unneccesary cost and complexity to an already exceptionally diverse group of a model.
  18. Such a sad little car to be called Buick. I'd take my old Skyhawk back over this anyday. (not that it's much more cheerful with the name Buick, but at least not as suicidally depressed as Cadillac... Cimarron)
  19. Someone has all the sharpness of primodial ooze!
  20. Hmm. neat! If it is GM Europe, then maybe Saturn will get it!
  21. Vue. It's tidier in dimensional appearance, German engineered, GM, and ought to drive better.
  22. CUPHOLDERS?! What a lame reason not to choose or like an automobile! I've driven two cars with NO that's 0 cupholders folks. One with one, one with four, and another (my current- a 2008 Volkswagen Golf (Rabbit)) has three with those crazy bottle holders in the doors for a technical total of 5. Cars With No Cupholders: 1987 Buick Skyhawk (I don't count those circles molded into the glovebox lid; they don't count) 1993 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible Cars With One Cupholder: 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 Cars With Four CH: 1996 Plymouth Breeze Cars with Three CH: 2008 Volkswagen Golf No one needs cupholders, they are a minor convenience item to me.

Skodas are rather interesting now and, as noted, tend to be more reliable than their German-built platform-mates (!). My favourite so far is the Roomster which is a small family hatch kinda thingy. I know it's weird as all get out, but it's efficient and freaky. Their concept Joyster is based on the GTI's mechanicals (yes I know, Mk. V Golf= TT, A3, Jetta, Golf, Golf Plus, Passat, and various SEATs and Skodas) so would be more of a hot hatch.
  24. I would have much preferred the H grille, it's more tasteful. P.S. The Genesis Coupe looks very nice!

I find their products to be lacking any emotional aspect to urge a purchase, and when they try to get creative, things get U-G-L-Y.
